2025 May 16-18, 2025!
We are pleased to invite you to the 6th annual Tree Rescue Competition. The competition will traditionally take place at the Arboretum in Kostelec nad Černými Lesy.
This year, the event will again be held at three stations with various simulated crisis situations during arboricultural activities. We would be delighted if you would view this event not only as an opportunity for experienced competitors to test their skills, but also as a chance to try your hand at a competitive “stressful” mode, very similar to a real situation, even for those who do not have this opportunity elsewhere.
At the same time, we would like to invite representatives of both the general public and professionals. Come support the competitors, enjoy a day in the beautiful environment among the trees, and perhaps expand your awareness of our field. Refreshments will be provided at the competition site throughout the weekend.
Admission for the public is free on the competition day. The main program starts on Saturday, May 17th at 9:30 AM.
On Sunday, from 9:30 AM, an educational block will begin with lectures and workshops focusing mainly on safety and first aid in arboricultural activities.
For those interested in the educational block who are not registered in the competition, the participation fee is 500 CZK. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon request.

Basic Information for Competitors and Volunteers:
Thank you for your interest in this year’s competition. Come and compete with us and enjoy time together in the pleasant atmosphere and beautiful surroundings of the arboretum. On-site catering is, as always, provided.
As in previous years, participation can be used to document education for ČCA and ETW recertification. Competitors who complete at least one discipline within the set time limit can request a certificate, which is valid as proof of completing a rescue of an injured person for ETW certification.
This year, as last year, a gear check is required. That’s why it’s necessary for all competitors to have their equipment in order and be on site by Friday. Thank you for your understanding.
Event Schedule:
- Friday, May 16th: 4:00 PM registration – participant meeting; gear check; evening gathering
- Saturday, May 17th: 9:30 AM competition start; results announcement; social evening
- Sunday, May 18th: 9:30 AM educational block

Entry Fee for This Year’s Competition:
- Basic entry fee is 3000 CZK.
- Sponsorship entry fee: any amount higher than 3000 CZK.
The registration deadline is April 23, 2025, or until the capacity of 21 competitors is reached. Please do not leave registration until the last minute.
